Audience
Your contacts, tidy and ready to email.
Bring your list in, organise it the way you think about your customers, and let 404 Emails keep it clean.
Organise
Three simple ways to sort people.
Groups
Lists you add people to, such as "Workshop attendees" or "Wholesale". Anyone can be in several.
Tags
Quick labels like "vip" or "newsletter-2025", added by hand, during an import or from a form.
Saved filters
A rule that picks contacts and stays up to date by itself.
Import
Bring your list in from a spreadsheet.
Upload a CSV file, match its columns, confirm where people's permission came from, and check the preview before anything is saved.
- 1Upload a CSV file - up to 5 MB and 10,000 contacts at a time
- 2Match columns: email, first and last name, tags
- 3Confirm how these people agreed to hear from you
- 4See what will be added, updated and skipped
- 5Import
Kept clean
The list looks after itself.
- Unsubscribes
- Every email has an unsubscribe link and the one-click unsubscribe button inboxes show. Anyone who leaves is never emailed again.
- Bounces and spam reports
- Addresses that bounce permanently or report spam are blocked automatically, even if you import them again later.
- Consent records
- For every contact: how and when they agreed, from a form or an import, kept as evidence.
- Privacy requests
- Export one person's data or erase it completely when they ask. Export your whole workspace any time.
Questions about contacts
How many contacts can I have?
As many as you like. Your plan sets how many subscribers you can email: 250 on Free, and from 500 to 10,000 on Standard. Unsubscribed and blocked contacts don't count. See pricing.
Can I import from Mailchimp directly?
Not automatically. Export your contacts from Mailchimp as a CSV file and import that - it takes a few minutes.
What happens to duplicates?
An address already in your workspace is updated rather than added twice; duplicates within the file are skipped.
