  1. 1Export only your subscribed contacts from your current tool as a CSV file - leave out anyone who unsubscribed or bounced
  2. 2Note where people's permission came from - you'll confirm it during the import
  3. 3Import the file in 404 Emails and check the preview
  4. 4Set up sending: quick start for now, or add your own domain's DNS records
  5. 5Rebuild your main email design in the builder and save it as a template
  6. 6Replace the signup form on your website with a 404 Emails form
  7. 7Recreate your welcome email as an automation
  8. 8Send yourself a test, then send your first campaign

Switching questions

Can you import directly from Mailchimp or Brevo?
Not automatically. Both let you export contacts as a CSV file, which you then import here.
Will my unsubscribed contacts start getting emails?
Not if you leave them out of the file you import - so export only subscribed contacts. Anyone who unsubscribes or bounces in 404 Emails stays blocked here.
Can I keep my sending address?
Yes. Add your domain's DNS records in 404 Emails and send from the same address as before.
